Quad bike theft is on the rise in areas of Devon and Cornwall.

Police are warning farmers in East Cornwall along with North and West Devon areas to be vigilant of thieves targetting their utility vehicles.

A red 2022 Honda Fourtrax 420 quad bike was stolen from a farm building in the Bowithick area of Bodmin Moor.

It was was stolen between 10pm on Saturday, July 16 and 8am the following morning.

The theft of farm machinery, agricultural equipment and plant is sometimes linked to organised crime and is one of the most costly crimes affecting rural business.
