"Disgusting and completely irresponsible": Anger as huge amount of waste is fly-tipped in Bamber Bridge lane

Council bosses have vowed tough action as fly-tippers repeatedly target a Bamber Bridge lane.

Twice in the last 10 days, residents of Shuttling Fields Lane have woken up to piles of bricks, metal, fencing, tyres and concrete rubble left in hedgerows and dumped along the roadside.

One resident said: “We’ve lived here 15 years and always had an issue, but it’s become worse since being charged for using the local tip.”

They said they believe the latest fly-tipping has been done by the same person, who is making the drops under the cover of darkness.
