Man fishing on Wye illegally is fined and has tackle seized
In a joint operation between Natural Resources Wales and Gwent Police, Kyle Moses, of Summerhill, Cwmbran, was seen by officers fishing on a private stretch of the river known as The Dukes Water near the Duke of Beaufort Bridge at Wyesham, Monmouth, on May 19.

Welsh farmer’s fury after walkers leave gates open
Welsh farmer and NFU Cymru deputy president Abi Reader has been left to recover the fallout from reckless walkers who forced their way through a closed farm gate, allowing dairy cattle to escape and become trapped in a bog.

Drivers arrested for drink or drug driving on July weekend
During the two-week campaign, officers from the force’s roads policing and specialist operations (RPSO), rural crime, and neighbourhood policing teams will patrol Gwent’s roads, carry out vehicle and driver checks, and deliver a number of educational messages centred around improving road safety.

Sheep's head found buried on allotment among potatoes as authorities investigate alleged animal slaughter
An allotment holder is being evicted from their plot amid allegations sheep have been slaughtered on the land and a sheep's head buried in a neighbouring potato patch.

Armed police in manhunt and people urged to lock windows and doors after man assaulted.
A man was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition after the incident at around 5.30pm in Clydach, Swansea, in Wales, with residents in the area told to lock their doors and windows.
