Five more dogs seized in Caerphilly in police crackdown following fatal attacks
It means so far in 2023, 18 dogs have been removed from their owners in the borough. The crackdown came after 10-year-old schoolboy Jack Lis from the area died after sustaining "catastrophic and unsurvivable" injuries after a dog attack in November 2021.

Police working with riders to tackle rise in equestrian thefts
Police in Wales have been giving hands-on support to riders following a spate of thefts. Gwent Police’s Rural Crime team took action after a rise in thefts from yards across the largely rural county, including some high-profile riders.

Wally the Walrus prompts massive clampdown on coast visitors
“Over the years we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of people using our coastal areas but sadly they’re unaware of the effect they have on coastal birds and mammals if they act irresponsibly,” said Sergeant Liam Jones of the police rural crime team.
