‘Deplorable’ incident of antisocial behaviour at Gwynedd prehistoric settlement site

POLICE are to step up patrols on a site of special scientific interest in Gwynedd after a recent incident of antisocial behaviour at the location
Bryn Gaer, in Dinas Dinlle, a prehistoric settlement, is currently the subject of an archaeological dig.
But North Wales Police (NWP) have said a party was recently held at the location, with equipment set alight, some of the structure damaged, and litter left strewn across the site.
Those who see any further such behaviour or damage are urged to contact the force.
NWP Rural Crime Team said: “This is Bryn Gaer in Dinas Dinlle, a prehistoric settlement with evidence of Roman habitation and possibly referred to in the Mabinogi as the home of Lleu Llaw Gyffes and his wife Blodeuwedd.
