Four stolen vehicles and a shotgun have been recovered by police investigating thefts in a rural area.

Officers from the road crime team of Nottinghamshire Police visited an address in Flintham Lane, Screveton, in Rushcliffe, at around 1.40pm on Tuesday afternoon after a trailer, reported missing from Costock, was spotted in a field by a police drone.

Further searches by the police's tactical support group revealed three additional stolen vehicles in and around the area — two road rollers reported missing from Lincolnshire and a van taken from Yorkshire.
