Officers are appealing for information after tools, worth £1,000, were stolen from a van in Lower Penn.

Police were called to Springhill Lane, Lower Penn, on Monday (4 April) following reports of vehicle crime.

The theft took place sometime between 3.30pm and 4pm on Monday (4 April) where the offender (s) exited a black Nissan XTrail before gaining access to the rear of a white Mercedes Sprinter van parked on a driveway.

An orange concrete cutter and a Makita box containing two impact drills were stolen from the van.

The black Nissan XTrail was later spotted heading in the direction of Springhill Park.

PCSO Alexandra Rathbone, of the South Staffordshire Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These type of offences can have a profound impact on the livelihoods of the victims.

“Van owners should remain vigilant and consider their vehicle’s security to mitigate the chances of them falling victim to such offences.
