A man has been arrested after police recovered 550 stolen solar panels worth more than £100,000. The 23-year-old was held on suspicion of theft but has since been released on bail.

The panels were stolen from a farm in Worcestershire on June 25 and June 26, police said. They were then seized from a a site in Gloucestershire on Wednesday.

Inspector Dave Wise said of West Mercia Police said: “Through prompt investigation and invaluable intelligence sharing we were able to swiftly recover the stolen solar panels. This recovery and arrest not only represents a success in this investigation, but also demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding renewable energy infrastructure across Worcestershire.
