Arrests after Malmesbury Abbey arson and tractor theft

A group of young teenagers have been arrested in connection to the theft of tractors and quad bikes near Malmesbury.

Some of the teens have also been arrested on suspicion of arson in the grounds of Malmesbury Abbey.

Three bins were set alight, damaging an exterior wall of the building, on June 3.

A 16-year-old boy was previously arrested on suspicion of arson following the fires and has been released on bail.

The police have now arrested two boys aged 13 and 15, and a 15-year-old girl. Another 15-year-old girl has also been interviewed in relation to the incident.
