Leicestershire Police

Burglars have struck at three homes in Oakham in the space of a week. Jewellery, antique coins, a stamp collection and a digital camera were among the items taken from two of the homes in Cricket Lawns, where houses can fetch between £357,000 and £973,000.

It is not yet known if any items were taken from the third home raided. Leicestershire Police are asking people to come forward following the break-ins, between May 6 and May 13.

PC Amanda Paddock said: “I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who lives in the area who saw or heard anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual or suspicious. Please cast your mind back".

She added: "Did you notice anyone in Cricket Lawns who caught your attention? I’m also keen to speak to anyone who has seen or been offered such items for sale. Any information you can provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help.”
