
Car ploughs into home in Village in County Durham

A Car has ploughed into the front of a house in a quiet County Durham Village.
The incident happened at Fir Tree in Crook, Bishop Auckland at around 9:30 yesterday morning.
It is not known if anyone was injured, however rumors state that the driver and passenger of the blue Kia Sorrento were taken to hospital. No further details have yet been released. A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Harperley Terrace in Fir Tree shortly after 9am this morning.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and transported two patients to University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment."
The electricity was quickly disconnected and It is understood a structural engineer will be assessing whether the property is safe.
