Cruel and illegal badger baiting exposed in Cheshire town

Cheshire Constabulary
Evidence of illegal badger baiting has emerged in a Cheshire town.
Yesterday (March 12) Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team posted on social media and revealed it was assisting the RSPCA in Malpas.
The force said they attended the scene following reports of "badger baiting activity taking place".
Badger baiting involves small dogs being sent into badger setts to find badgers and hold them at bay while baiters dig them out.
Once exposed, badgers are dragged out and attacked immediately or sold to underground baiting rings.
The force's rural crime team attended the scene in Malpas, close to the edge of Shropshire.
