Disqualified driver detained and "dangerous car" off the road

A DISQUALIFIED driver, wanted on warrant, is in custody after being stopped by Dorset Police yesterday.

Dorset Police's Rural Crime Team and Neighbourhood Patrol carried out a reinforced stop of the vehicle by the A350 turn off for Shaftesbury and Poole.

The suspect was said to be driving a "dangerous car" and had a history of failing to stop.

A spokesperson for North Dorset Police said they had detained: "a suspect with a history of failing to stop, who was wanted on warrant, and disqualified from driving."
