A dog was sadly killed in York after the car it was travelling in was hit by rocks thrown from a bridge above the road.
North Yorkshire Police said the car, a silver Skoda Faroq, was travelling along Huntington Road on Saturday May 6, around 3.50pm. Rocks were thrown from the iron bridge over the River Foss nearby.
The car blew a tyre because of the rocks being thrown, and the driver pulled over to look at the damage. But sadly, while she was pulling over - her dog managed to jump out of the window into oncoming traffic. She died instantly.
