Drink driving arrest as crash leaves car on its roof in Cheshire

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car flipped over on a rural road in Cheshire, leaving one person in hospital. Officers from the rural crime team at Cheshire Constabulary were called to the incident near Tattenhall on Friday evening (March 19).
According to a post on the team's Facebook page, they found the car on its roof but the two people in the vehicle had managed to get out. One person was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a suspected broken wrist.
The male driver is alleged to have provided a positive breath sample when breathalysed. He was then arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
In the post on the Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team page on Facebook, PC Tether wrote: "This evening, I attended a report of a road traffic collision on a rural back lane near Tattenhall. On arrival, we found a vehicle on its roof, thankfully both occupants managed to leave the vehicle with one receiving medical treatment at hospital for a possible broken wrist.
