Nine fire crews from across Devon and Cornwall were needed to tackle a derelict farmhouse on fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning (November 1).
The alarm was raised at 3.25am as reports came in of the fire in Thornbury near Holsworthy.
Fire control mobilised three fire appliances from Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Torrington along with an officer.
As people calling to report the fire were describing flames issuing from the roof, an aerial ladder platform from Barnstaple was then sent to the scene.
