Fire near Malpas farm shop believed to have been started deliberately

A huge fire near Malpas Farm Shop in Malpas is being treated as arson.
At around 11.26pm March 22, firefighters were called to the scene of a large blaze on Chester Road. An outbuilding and some portable toilets were engulfed in flames.
One casualty was cared for by firefighters, and later made their own way to hospital with minor injuries, North West Ambulance Service confirmed.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue worked on the incident, with one fire engine from Malpas, one from Chester and one engine from Shropshire Fire and Rescue. They extinguished the fire using a main jet and a hose reel jet.
A fire investigator and Cheshire Police were called to the scene as it is believed that the blaze was started intentionally. A joint investigation is now underway.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue reported: “Outbuildings and portable toilets were heavily involved in fire on Chester Road. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a main jet and two hose reels to tackle the blaze.
“Cordons were put in place as crews dealt with the incident and a fire investigator and police were called for as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
