Firefighters save animals from barn fire in Lincolnshire

The owners of a Lincolnshire village farm have thanked everyone for their offers of help following a large barn fire. Multiple crews attended the fire on Holmes Farm in North Somercotes on Monday, December 18 with firefighters working throughout the night to tackle the blaze.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue provided an update on Tuesday morning stating that two relief crews were still at the scene. The owners of Holmes Farm, which also has a farm shop on site, released a statement on social media which reads: "Sadly tonight our barn went on fire, we lost the building and straw but with help from the firefighters all the animals are safe.
