Flames tear through barn amid 'worrying' spate of Warwickshire farm fires

Police say a 'worrying' trend of devastating barn fires is emerging across parts of Warwickshire. The Warwickshire Rural Crime Team says a number of farms in the south of the county have been targeted.

In the latest, bales of hay went up in huge flames and a barn was destroyed at a rural property in Gaydon. Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway. It could be linked with other incidents.

"Worryingly we have had several other incidents of the same type, with barn fires in both Kineton and Warmington," said a WRCT spokesperson said.
