The Isle of Wight Council has labelled the latest case of fly-tipping as “environmental vandalism”, after fridges and freezers were dumped in a lay-by near at Adgestone, near Brading.

On February 5, it was revealed a number of items had been fly-tipped on protected and conserved land off Brading Downs Road.

Now, weeks later, yet more appliances have been dumped - this time in a lay-by near Upper Adgestone Road, close to Bully’s Hill.

Natasha Dix, the Isle of Wight Council’s service director for waste, environment, and planning, said: "It is disappointing to see yet another case of fly tipping.
