A 13-year-old was injured and a horse had to be put down after a driver crashed into them in Flintshire. Alex Martin, 33, of Pen y Maes Avenue, Rhyl, appeared before Mold Magistrates Court on Monday, October 17, charged with driving without due care and attention.

He was found guilty over the incident, which took place on St Asaph Road in Lloc – a 30mph area - at around 8am on February 24. The 13-year-old rider, who was wearing a high visibility jacket while out with her pony, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
