A lucky horse owner will be able to transport their animal again after Banbury police recovered their stolen trailer.

Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce located the stolen horse trailer in Banbury yesterday (Friday). It had been stolen recently from Aylesbury.

A spokesman said: “The trailer has been recovered and will be returned to its rightful owner. Enquiries are being completed to identify those responsible.”

It is thought a change in trailer towing rules last year to include younger drivers is responsible for a rise in trailer thefts.
