Horses have been stabbed in what is believed to have been a horrific bid to kill them. The horses were in a paddock and found covered in blood with deep wounds.

One of the horses was found with a lace tied around her neck. The ferocious attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Farnley area of Leeds and the person responsible is still at large.

Residents have shared their concerns with LeedsLive. Owners and witnesses to the injuries sustained believe the perpetrator "intended to kill" the animals and said a similar incident happened again this week on Tuesday (July 19).
