Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of criminal damage in Ipswich.

It took place at St Mary’s Church on Thurleston Lane in Ipswich on Tuesday 5 April at some point between 5pm and 6pm.

There was damage caused to a gravestone outside the church by being tipped over and broken in two.

Inside the church an ancient bible had several pages ripped out, candles broken and leaflets torn up.
