A farmer has been left ‘devastated' after two suspected dog attacks in Wiltshire which killed a lamb and injured one ewe.

Wiltshire Rural Crime Team said the first incident had taken place on November 6 at Middle Chase Farm in Bowerchalke when a farmer found sheep had been pushed up tight to the corners of a field in a state of ‘high alert'.

Officers reported one ewe had been found with blood all over her hind quarters from the udder after being chased by a dog.

The second incident had taken place on November 7 when a farm worker found a dead lamb which had been ‘mauled to death' by what police believe to be a dog.
