Large Northwich emergency service presence as car enters river

A LARGE emergency service presence attended Northwich in the early hours of this morning, Saturday.
Crews from Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service rushed to the town shortly before 4am.
The nature of the incident was a car entering the river near to Vickersway Park.
Photos from the scene show a car, a white Ford, in the waterway near to the railway arches.
Emergency service crews can be seen working at the scene, with residents reporting hearing sirens and flashing lights attending the park.
The circumstances that led to the incident are as of yet unclear, however police say the driver was able to swim to safety.
