A man has been arrested following the overnight theft of a tractor GPS unit in North Cumbria.

Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Daventry on suspicion of burglary and theft on October 12. He was later released on conditional bail.

The arrest follows the report of a theft, in which a GPS unit was taken from North Cumbrian farm overnight on 10 October.

Police made the arrest as part of a national operation targeting GPS tractor thefts. It involves officers from Lincolnshire Police, Cheshire, Northamptonshire and the National Rural Crime Unit.
