A man from Scunthorpe who aided the ‘inhumane slaughter' of a sheep and discarded the remains of her unborn lambs in an alleyway has been convicted at court.

Humberside Police North Lincolnshire's Rural Crime Task Force team said Bogdan Gruia, of Digby Street, had pleaded guilty on March 15 to aiding and abetting a 'person unknown' in causing the unnecessary suffering of a protected animal. Gruia was ordered to pay a combined cost of £1,162
