A man has been sentenced to a suspended prison sentence and unpaid work after he was found in possession of a knife on Wednesday (26/4).

Levi Grant, aged 45, of Walker Drive in Faringdon, was arrested and charged on Wednesday.

Appearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (27/4), Grant pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place and was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

He was also ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and fined £239.

It was also ordered that the knife was forfeited and destroyed.
