VANDALS went on a mindless wrecking spree in a Somerset school.
Staff arriving at Mendip Green Primary School in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, arrived at work on Monday morning to find that yobs had broken into the early years area used by reception students.
There was a trail of destruction where the vandals had broken into storage sheds, pulling out all of the children’s toys and smashing them up. They also kicked down fences and climbed up onto the roof, damaging air conditioning units and the canopy over the early years play area.
Next they trashed a mud kitchen, pulling drainpipes off the walls and removing the seals around doors in a bid to get into the main school building.
