More than three tonnes of litter collected across just small part of Wiltshire

Over three tonnes of litter have been collected in the south and west of Wiltshire and on the A429 in Malmesbury.
245 bags were collected, which is around 3.2 tonnes of waste.
This weight is equivalent to more than two large walruses and more than three 1979 Volkswagen Beetles.
Litter picking along major roads is done regularly by council workers and on September 28 around 2.7 tonnes of waste in 206 bags was collected on the A350 from Warminster to Sedgehill.
