New response team apprehend teens attempting to steal motorbike

Officers just minutes into their shift apprehended three teenagers attempting to steal a motorbike in Bishop Auckland.

Officers from C relief – who were in the middle of a shift changeover briefing - were called yesterday afternoon (February 21) to reports of an ongoing theft of a motorcycle on Etherley Lane.

A witness disrupted the suspects who left the bike and made off on foot. PC Canvin took descriptions of the suspects quickly and, began searching for them whilst other officers reviewed CCTV footage to pin point their movements.
