As part of Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, officers from South Yorkshire Police have been engaging with the communities who live in the rural areas of South Yorkshire as part of an operation to tackle rural crime.
The region wide operation aims to crack down on offences that affect the rural parts of our communities the most, including fly tipping, hare coursing and quad and off-road bike related incidents.
On Sunday 21 January, officers from the Motorcycle and Rural Crime Team took to the countryside as part of the week of action, partaking in a joint cross-border operation with Nottinghamshire Police, aiming to tackle criminals who take advantage of county-lines.
