A vehicle containing a vast number of stolen items was seized by officers on patrol in Huntingdon. The incident was first reported over the weekend.

The Rural Crime Action team were on patrol in West Huntingdonshire at around 5.30pm on Saturday (October 8). They saw a van between Sawtry and Hamerton coming down a farm track onto the road.

The team stopped the vehicle and searched it and its occupants. Officers discovered approximately 24 empty fuel barrels, a vehicle jack and electronic syphoning equipment in the rear of the van.
