People need to report wildlife crime to stop illegal hunting, panel told

Reporting wildlife crimes is crucial to getting the police to take action and investigate, an audience of those against hunting were told. About 100 people attended a panel discussion and question and answer session on hunting put on by the League Against Cruel Sports at the University of Gloucestershire's Park Campus in Cheltenham.
They listened to a discussion helmed by BBC TV’s One Show wildlife reporter and naturalist Mike Dilger. On the panel were Dr Denise Taylor, Kate Parker the wildlife crime campaign manager for Naturewatch Foundation in Cheltenham, the league’s head of campaigns Nick Weston and Cheltenham Borough Council cabinet member Councillor Max Wilkionson (LD, Oakley).
