Police advice to shotgun licence holders

Over the last year we have investigated numerous incidents whereby shotgun licence holders have breached their licence due to incorrect storage and handling, as well as dealt with incidents where people have been in possession of a shotgun without a licence.

Such breaches and offences can lead to the seizure of firearms and licences may be revoked.

If you are in possession of an antique firearm you should check to see if you need a licence.
