Police appeal after dolphins and whale 'disturbed' by water craft

WHALES and dolphins have been "disturbed" by jet skis and a boat on the Clyde, police say.

A whale appeared to be left distressed after two jet skis were seen nearby off Greenock on Sunday, June 11, according to Police Scotland.

And at around 1.25pm on Wednesday, June 14, in the same area, a boat was seen very close to a pod of dolphins which included a young calf.

Last week, a humpback whale similar to that involved was spotted off the coast of Arran, with a nearby boat capturing the animal playing in the water.
