Police decide not to chase motocross bike due to 'significant danger'

A MOTOCROSS bike “narrowly missed” a police patrol car on Tuesday before police made the decision not to pursue the rider.

A black motocross bike was riding with no registration plates in Champtoceaux Avenue in Verwood on Tuesday evening, March 7, and the rider was ordered by police to stop.

The rider then reportedly took “evasive action” into Field Place housing estate, after which police officers then located the rider behind hiding behind a hedge.

Officers say the rider then rode past the patrol car, narrowly missing it.
