Police have explained why they had an increased presence on the North Wales border last night (Tuesday, March 14). Officers from multiple forces were involved in an operation.

The Dyfed-Powys Rural Crime Team said it been undertaking joint rural patrols. The patrols have included officers from North Wales as well as colleagues from the other side of the border from West Mercia and Cheshire.

Police have distributed many driver warnings and advice to motorists in the area. Police have also asked that people are vigilant and report any incidents to police.
