Police launch warning after tractors targeted by thieves

Thieves have been stealing GPS equipment from tractors in rural Wiltshire, police have said.

Policing teams from Malmesbury, Royal Wootton Bassett, and Cricklade have alerted residents to the reported spate of thefts and urged anyone with information that could help officers investigate to get in touch.

New Holland and John Deere tractors were targeted on Sunday night. Combines have been targeted on previous occasions.

The Royal Wootton Bassett team will be holding a Rural Crime and Horse event with the British Horse Society in Malmesbury in Cross Hayes on September 26 between 10am and 1pm, then in Sherston from 2pm to 4pm.
