Locals living in and around a Leicestershire village have raised complaints of people using nearby roads to meet up late at night and use them as a "racetrack".
Residents of Blaby and Whetstone have complained of loud noises and reckless driving taking place on the A426, Leicester Road, also known as the Blaby bypass. Late night car meets up have reportedly been taking place on Friday and Saturday nights on the road throughout recent months.
Frustrated locals have complained to Leicestershire Police and their local MP, Conservative Alberto Costa, about the anti-social behaviour. Inspector Steve Palmer of Hinckley and Blaby Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA) told LeicestershireLive that they are working closely with residents to ensure offenders are "dealt with robustly".
