POLICE are stepping up patrols in a number of Warrington villages after reports of wildlife poaching.
At the weekend, officers patrolled Daresbury, Higher Walton, Moore, Preston Brook and Dutton following these reports.
“We have also spoken to metal detectorists seen in a field and all was well, but always worth a check,” a post on the Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team Facebook page reads.
It isn’t the first report of poaching in the area.
