A field fire tore through crops near Upper Arncott.

Police urged anyone who had 'witnessed anything suspicious' between the B4011 and Widnell Lane at around midday today (September 17) to call the 101 non-emergency number.

Sgt Robert Maris of Thames Valley Police's Rural Crime Team said: "[It was] swift work from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to put out this field fire that could easily have spread to neighbouring areas."
