Shocking footage shows the moment police broke down the door of a Barnsley home and found poorly dogs living in a cannabis farm.
On Thursday, May 18, Rural Crime, the Barnsley Tasking Team and Wildlife Officers from South Yorkshire Police (SYP), as well as representatives from the RSPCA, were called to Manor Street in Carlot. The team, supported by a vet, executed the warrant under the Wildlife and Countryside Act to seize and preserve evidence linked to rural crime offences committed across South Yorkshire.
Upon arrival, nine dogs were located at the property and seized - two of dogs required immediate veterinary attention for injuries, infections, and dental problems and the other seven were seized for unsanitary conditions and welfare. While searching the property officers located a cannabis cultivation.
