A man has been arrested and several dogs seized after police raided properties as part of their crackdown on rural crime.
Police officers raided the addresses at Tay Court, Barrow and Devonshire Road, Millom on Wednesday.
A 25-year-old man from Millom was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Police seized a number of dogs from two premises and placed them in the care of the RSPCA.
Cumbria Constabulary’s rural crime team, which launched last month, was supported by officers from Whitehaven and Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Teams, North and West Tactical Support, Dog Handler and the RSPCA.
