Sheep shot with crossbow in North Wales

Police are appealing for information after a sheep was found killed and another injured by bolts from a crossbow, in a field on Deeside in North Wales.

There were also another eight sheep missing from the field which may have been stolen for slaughter. Officers are concerned the flock may have been stolen to process for the purposes of human consumption, with a warning to anyone who is offered cheap meat not to accept it.

One of the sheep was found dead in nearby wasteland shortly after, and another was found injured having been shot with a crossbow bolt, and is now being treated by a vet.
