Stolen Mitsubishi from Chickerell found destroyed in Dorset

Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was found 'completely destroyed' in Dorset.

A black Mitsubishi Shogun was stolen from an address in Chickerell between 8.15pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, June 3.

At around 10.30am on Monday, June 5, the fire service responded to a report of a vehicle fire in a rural area near the village of Winterbourne Steepleton.

The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire and was confirmed to be the stolen Mitsubishi.

Rural crime officers are now investigating the theft and appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist enquiries.
