Stolen van seized by Dorset Police Rural Crime Team

POLICE seized a stolen van allegedly used to help commit a Dorset burglary in what was a busy shift for the force's rural crime team.

The white van was found by police in west Dorset and towed away on a recovery vehicle after it was allegedly used to commit a burglary at a farm in the area on Wednesday night (April 12).

This was not the only incident rural officers had to deal with in the county that day.

Teams in the eastern end of the county, in the area of Boveridge, near Cranborne, police responded to reports of hare coursing but despite a search, there was no trace of the vehicle involved.
