Stolen van stripped for parts and abandoned

A Ford Transit was stolen from a farm in the Wantage area and later found abandoned in a field stripped of its wheels and springs.

The vehicle has been recovered by police for a forensic examination.

Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce attended a series of rural incidents which occurred overnight on Wednesday (21/9) in Steventon and Wantage.

In Steventon, offenders broke a lock to gain access to a farm unit.

Police tweeted: "They appear to have had a good look around."
