Stolen vehicles seized in busy shift for Dorset's rural police

POLICE seized a vehicle which was stolen from Devon before being located in a Dorset village.

Dorset Police's Rural Crime Team said that the vehicle was found with false plates yesterday (Tuesday, April 11) in West Knighton, near Dorchester.

They added that the Mitsubishi 4X4 was originally stolen from a farm across the border in Devon.

In what was a busy shift for the Rural Crime Team yesterday, officers also found two suspected stolen motorbikes in east Dorset.

The bikes were located in woodland near Ferndown and an investigation into this is ongoing, police said.
